I've recently turned off comments for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which is that I haven't really had time to take many photos these days, and therefore get few comments. This means that largely, I just fight spam. You may still email me at the contact address if you wish.

We must have been in a similar mood today - I'll be putting this up on my newly revised photoblog (link above) but here's my take on the day.

Yes, indeed. Snow is so rare here in the city, and short lived, you have to catch it while you can.

It snowed in the middle of the night here, but it took me about ten minutes of listening while reading in bed to realise what I was hearing. It turned into heavy rain as I found a window and the snow was gone.

Now we're thinking maybe banana plantation.

Another great photo from you. The composition in this is terrific and so appealing. I also really like the graininess produced by the snow. This just really makes me say wow.

I can imagine this with slightly more contrast... I think it might give it more punch. But then again, too much contrast might be over the top.

I love the composition. I wish it would snow around here for a change of scene.

Very nice. The grain-like look supplied by the snow reminds me a bit of some of Donota Wnder's silver gelatin work.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I'm glad to see you checking back even if I don't post often enough :-).
